Born in Easton, Maryland, July 27, 1947. Attended Queen Anne's County public schools. Involved in family agribusiness. President, Queen Anne's County Historical Society, 2002-04. Past president, Maryland Circuit Court Clerks' Association. Former member, Queen Anne's County 4-H Park Board; Church Hill Volunteer Fire Company. Member, St. Luke's Episcopal Church (vestry; junior warden), Church Hill, Maryland. Married; three sons.
