Born in Norfolk, Virginia. Columbia University, M.A. (developmental psychology); University of Maryland School of Law, J.D. Admitted to Maryland Bar, 1985. Attorney. Certified Federal Investigator and Maryland Mediator. Member, Maryland State Bar Association (alternative dispute resolution section; elder law section; estate & trust section; immigration law section). Past acting chief attorney, Howard County Legal Aid. Maryland's Top 100 Women, Daily Record, 1999, 2001; 2013 (Circle of Excellence). Divorced; two children, two grandchildren.
