HOUSING COMMISSION

Established in 1990, the Housing Commission develops and manages housing for low- and moderate-income County residents, and develops affordable housing with developers, and federal, State and County agencies. It also runs the County Housing Choice Voucher Program.

The Commission consists of seven members appointed to five-year terms by the County Executive with County Council consent. From among its members the Commission annual selects a chair and vice-chair (County Code, secs. 13.1301 through 13.1322).
