Retired fire specialist, Baltimore County Fire Department, 1982-2012. Owner/operator, Wantz Lawn Care, 1983-. Member, Pleasant Valley Community Volunteer Fire Department, 1975- (board of directors, 2015-; president). Member, Carroll County Fire Chiefs Association (past president); Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association, 1981- (president, 1994-95); Carroll County Emergency Ambulance Services (past vice-president). Member, Westminster Municipal Band, 1982-. Board of Directors, Economic Alliance of Greater Baltimore, 2016-. Community Fireman of the Year, Dundalk Veterans of Foreign Wars, 1983.
