Born at Island Creek, Maryland, October 20, 1929. Attended Calvert County public schools; Western Maryland College; DeVry University. Served in U.S. Army Reserves. Owner and operater of a gas and propane business, St. Leonard. President, Maryland Propane Gas Association, 1986-87. Board of Directors, Calvert Memorial Hospital (now CalvertHealth Medical Center, Inc.); Calvert County Chamber of Commerce. Charter member, Company 7, St. Leonard Volunteer Fire Department. Member, Maryland Farm Bureau; Elks Club; Lions Club; Lodge no. 142, Prince Frederick, Masons; Scottish Rite, Pa-Po-Peake Shrine Club of Southern Maryland and Boumui Temple. Member, Waters Memorial United Methodist Church, St. Leonard, Maryland. Married; three children, three grandchildren, five great-grandchildren. Died in Prince Frederick, Maryland, June 28, 2015
