Report to Governor & General Assembly due Dec. 1, 2017 (Chapters 212 & 213, Acts of 2017).

In June 2016, the Task Force on Long-Term Care Education and Planning was authorized (Chapters 212 & 213, Acts of 2017).

First, the Task Force examined the status of long-term care education in Maryland. Next, it considered options to improve how State residents are informed about planning for long-term care. Further, it is to make recommendations on long-term care education. These recommendations both will ensure that no Marylander reaches age 50 without receiving complete information concerning the risk of needing long-term care and available private options to pay for it, as well as information about the Maryland Medical Assistance Program, including how it is funded, and who is eligible.

In December 2017, the Task Force submitted an interim report.

Authorization for the Task Force ended June 30, 2018.
