The Task Force to Examine Liability Insurance on Rental Vehicles was formed in 1996 (Chapter 673, Acts of 1996). It reviewed liability insurance issues for renting motor vehicles in Maryland. In December 1996, the Task Force submitted its report to the Governor and General Assembly.
